Jennifer Lopez is known for her beautiful, curvaceous figure. In fact, she even sings about it in some of her songs. But her curves haven’t always been such a hit.
During the Shades of Blue FYC event Thursday, a fan said that Lopez’s bootylicious physique inspired her to stop hiding her waist with sweatshirts. The “Jenny From the Block” singer responded by opening up about her personal struggles with weight in the beginning of her career.
“They kept telling me to lose weight,” the 46-year-old superstar explained, noting that she refused to comply. However, “it was a fight.”
These days, J.Lo is a tad trimmer thanks to her diet and lifestyle. In March, she told the ladies of The View that her weight tends to “fluctuate” and admitted that she goes “up and down like seven or eight pounds all the time."
